Pakistan government’s X account blocked in India, strict decision taken on orders of IT ministry

India News Desk– After the major terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian government has started taking strict steps against the capital of terrorism. In this step, the Ministry of Information Technology (Ministry of IT) has instructed X platform (formerly known as Twitter) to block the Pakistan government’s X official account in India. Following the Ministry’s order, X took prompt action and removed that account from access in India.

After this bold decision, no user in India will be able to see X account of Pakistan government. The platform is considered a major medium for official verified accounts of governments and leaders around the world, through which they share announcements and information related to their countries.

It is worth noting that many innocent indian tourists were killed in the terrorist attack in Baisran Ghati in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. After this serious coward attack, an emergency meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) of the Government of India was called on Wednesday evening.

Five major decisions have been taken against Pakistan in this meeting, in which a strict stance has been taken at the diplomatic and strategic level.

These major decisions include:

1. Immediate closure of Atari border check post between India-Pakistan.
2. Decision to close the Indian embassy in Pakistan.
3. Stop the Indus Water Treaty (Jal Sandhi).
4. Order all Pakistani diplomats in India to leave the country within 48 hours.
5. Decision not to issue Indian visa to Pakistanis in future.

After these bold decisions, the account of the Pakistan government on the X platform has also been blocked in India on Thursday. This move not only limits Pakistan’s official presence on social media, but also signals that India is no longer going to show any level of leniency towards coward terrorist incidents.

It is clear that these major decisions being taken by the Indian government are not only aimed at strengthening the domestic security system, but also indicate that a counter-policy will now be adopted at both the diplomatic and digital platform levels.
