New Delhi | Education Desk – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a special seminar-cum-orientation program through Circular No. CBSE/Media & PR/Counseling/2025 dated 23 April 2025.
CBSE has launched a special orientation programme for principals and vice principals focused on leadership skills, positive affirmations, and community engagement. The event is in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which talks about promoting leadership skills, positive thinking and community development in schools.

Objective of the CBSE Orientation Program
This seminar-cum-orientation of CBSE has been designed with the aim of strengthening leadership, motivation and social responsibility in school education. Under this, principals and vice-principals will get guidance on the following points:
- To bring about a change in the behavior of students and staff through positive thinking.
- To strengthen leadership qualities so that the school environment becomes inspiring and inclusive.
- To encourage active participation in community development within and outside the school premises.
- To develop a sense of effort, hard work and consistency in students.
- To promote a sense of accountability and responsibility in school staff.
CBSE has clarified that this orientation session will not be limited to sharing information but will be a step towards empowering the participants at a practical level. The following results are expected after the seminar:
- Establishment of a supportive and positive environment in the school, where every member is valued.
- Leadership opportunities for students, so that they can become self-reliant, responsible and confident citizens.
- Promoting positive social change by strengthening partnerships with local communities.
- Strengthening the sense of inclusive education and social responsibility in the school.
This CBSE orientation programme will strengthen the link between the school and the community so that the school can become a centre of learning and development.

Through this seminar, CBSE is presenting the principles of leadership not only from the point of view of management, but as a tool for social change. This initiative is inspired by the same thought of NEP 2020 which talks about linking education with personality development and social responsibility rather than limiting it to just exams and marks.
Registration Process for CBSE Seminar Orientation Program

- Participation is limited to 350 Principals / Vice Principals only on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Confirmation emails will be sent to the selected participants.
- Only confirmed participants will be allowed to attend the orientation.
- Travel and accommodation expenses shall be borne by the participants.
NOTE: This seminar is for invited school heads only. Interested participants are requested to report on time and bring the required documents.
