JEE Mains Controversy

JEE Main 2025: Students upset with errors in question paper, NTA gives clarification – Result will be released after Final Answer Key

Education Desk – A controversy has arisen over the questions asked in JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 Exam and the Provisional Answer Key. The candidates have alleged errors in the Response Sheet and Answer Key, due to which they are mentally disturbed.

Many students have made their objections public on social media, saying that there are errors in 4 questions of Physics, 3 of Chemistry and 2 of Maths in the answer key released by NTA. Some students also told that the questions they had answered are appearing blank in their Response Sheet.

NTA’s clarification on students’ complaints

On these allegations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has given its response on the social media platform X. NTA has clarified that they have always adopted a transparent examination process.

The agency said, “We provide the candidates with their recorded response sheets and take all objections with the provisional answer key seriously.” The NTA also added that the aim of the Answer Key Challenge Process is to ensure that no error is left in the evaluation process.

The agency said that the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Answer Key is only provisional as of now and it is not appropriate to draw any conclusion based on it.

Result will be ready only after the final answer key

The NTA has said that students should not fall into any kind of unnecessary apprehension and confusion. According to them, the answer key that has been released is not the final answer key and only after considering all valid objections, the final answer key and then the JEE Main Result 2025 will be released. They said that “Students should not be misled by reports that create unnecessary doubt and anxiety.”

According to NTA, the score calculation will be done only on the basis of the Final Answer Key. The provisional answer key released earlier is just a part of an interim process.

When will the result of JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 come?

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam was conducted from 2 April to 8 April 2025. Students are now waiting for the Final Answer Key and Result. However, NTA has not yet announced the Result Date. Students are advised to keep an eye only on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and get the last updates from there.

Although the complaints of the students point towards Bonus Marks, NTA has not yet given any clear statement regarding Bonus Numbers. A decision in this regard can come only after reviewing the Final Answer Key and the objections raised by the students.

Students’ concerns regarding JEE Mains 2025 are natural, but NTA has assured to maintain transparency. Students and parents should stay away from any rumors and trust only the information released on official platforms. The final decision will be taken on the basis of the Final Answer Key.
