CBSE Result 2025 Announcement for Class 10 and 12 Students

CBSE News Desk – Lakhs of students and their parents are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of CBSE Result 2025. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts Class 10 and Class 12 examinations across the country every year, and their results decide the future direction of the students.

In this article, we are going to answer all your questions in detail — like when will the result come, where to check, what documents are required, what are the passing marks, and what to do if you fail.

When were the CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams held?

This year the CBSE board exams were completed on time. Class 10 exams were held from 15 February to 18 March 2025, while Class 12 exams were held from 15 February to 4 April 2025.

From these dates, it is clear that the board has taken the examination of all the subjects in a timely manner. Now that the evaluation process is almost complete, the result will be announced in the next phase.

When will CBSE Result 2025 come?

Now all eyes are on this question – when will the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results be released? Although CBSE has not confirmed any official date so far, media reports and trends of previous years indicate that the result can be released in the second week of May 2025.

In the last two years, the results came on May 12 and May 13 respectively, so this time too there is every possibility of the result in the middle of May.

Where to check CBSE Result 2025?

You do not need any third-party website to see the result. CBSE has created some authorized portals from where students can easily check their results:

  • cbseresults.nic.in
  • cbse.gov.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in
  • results.gov.in

Apart from these, students can also get their digital marksheet through DigiLocker and the UMANG App, which will be very helpful for college admission.

What information is required to see the result?

To access the result, you must have the following important details:

  • Roll number
  • Date of Birth
  • Admit card ID
  • School number

All this information is already available on your admit card. Without these details, you will not be able to access your result.

How to check the result online?

To check CBSE Result 2025 online, you can follow the easy steps given below:

How to get CBSE Result by SMS?

If you do not have internet access, you can also get the result by SMS. For this, an SMS has to be sent in a fixed format:

In a few seconds, your result will be sent to your mobile via SMS.

How many marks are required to pass?

The minimum passing criteria set by CBSE is that the student must score at least 33% marks in each subject. This includes theory, practical, and internal assessment. If you do not pass in any one part, the entire subject is considered a failure. So, it is important to pass in every section.

What are the options if a student fails?

If a student fails in one subject, they get a chance to appear in the Compartment Exam. If a student fails in two subjects, then according to board rules, they can get compartment permission in only one subject. Otherwise, the student will have to reappear for the exam next year.

Is DigiLocker’s marksheet final?

No, the CBSE Marksheet 2025 available from DigiLocker or the website is only provisional. Students have to collect the original marksheet from their school after a few days. Only the offline original certificates are recognised for college admissions or government documentation.

After the result is released, all the students will be able to download only the copy of the online marksheet. The original marksheet will be sent to your school after a few days, from where you can collect it.

This marksheet will have complete information about your roll number, parents’ name, marks in all subjects, marks obtained in theory and practical, total marks, pass or fail status and division.

All students are advised to keep their login details ready, activate their DigiLocker account, and regularly check the official CBSE website.
